Through partnerships with donors, grantmaking to nonprofit organizations, and the administration of academic scholarships, the Foundation serves 10 Central Texas counties—Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Mason, Real, and Uvalde—working to ensure a high quality of life and a prosperous future for the Hill Country region. Spannagel Vocational Education Scholarship The Spannagel Vocational Education Scholarship was created to honor the lasting legacies of Billy Wayne Spannagel, a vocational educator with over 35 years of service, and his son, Dale Robin Spannagel, a certified aircraft maintenance technician. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating student from Kerr County who has been accepted into a vocational training program, with preference given to applicants pursuing certification in an aviation mechanics program.Eligibility
