The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country is dedicated to fostering a thriving and inclusive Texas Hill Country by inspiring philanthropy, celebrating local legacy and heritage, and stewarding charitable resources for present and future generations. Established in 1981 by visionary community members, the Foundation has grown into a trusted philanthropic leader, managing over $100 million in assets to support lasting community impact. Through partnerships with donors, grantmaking to nonprofit organizations, and the administration of academic scholarships, the Foundation serves 10 Central Texas counties—Bandera, Blanco, Edwards, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Mason, Real, and Uvalde—working to ensure a high quality of life and a prosperous future for the Hill Country region. Joshua Tyree Williams Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established by Big Brothers Big Sisters in memory of Joshua Tyree Williams, who was a participant in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, as well as being active in various community events. Because Tyree touched so many lives, this scholarship was established to honor his legacy by helping to fund the education of a worthy recipient. Preference is given to participants of Big Brothers Big Sisters and residents of Arms of Hope-Medina Campus.Eligibility

Applicant must be a current graduating student from one of the following high schools: Center Point, Comfort, Harper, Hill Country, Ingram, Medina, Our Lady of the Hills, and Tivy. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered. Applicant should exemplify good character, integrity, responsibility and leadership.
