SpaceKids National Essay Competition

Overview: A national essay writing competition for elementary school students in the United States.

Award: Winners receive a flight on the Zero-G Experience® ($8,200+ value), which takes place on a specially designed Boeing 727 airplane that provides zero-gravity experiences.

Geographic Scope: United States (22+ states have participated)

Eligibility:

  • Ages 8-12

  • Enrolled in public, private, parochial, or home schools

  • United States students

  • *ZERO-G family members are not eligible to participate
  • Focus Areas: Space exploration, STEAM+ education

    Essay Topic: "Why I Want to Go to Space"

    Evaluation: All essays reviewed by a minimum of four judges from top space industry organizations
