Sound Credit Union Scholarship Program

Geographic Scope: Puget Sound area, Washington (members of Sound Credit Union)

Purpose: To support Sound Credit Union members pursuing higher education by alleviating financial burdens associated with college/university attendance.

Award Amount: Approximately $20,000 distributed annually among recipients (in 2025, $20,000 was awarded to 13 recipients)

Eligibility:

• Must be a Sound Credit Union member
• Pursuing higher education at a college or university
• May include graduating high school students or adults continuing their education
• Selected based on:
  • Academic achievements
  • Community involvement
  • Commitment/dedication to furthering their education

Selection Process:

• Applications are reviewed by Sound Credit Union team members
• Reviewers assess student journeys, dreams, and aspirations
• 13 recipients were selected in 2024 and 2025
