Sompo Foundation Grant

The Sompo Foundation Grant aims to foster positive and sustainable change in education, health, and wellness, particularly for underserved communities. The foundation prioritizes organizations that enhance educational access and promote mental health resources. They also respond to disaster situations in areas where Sompo operates. However, they do not fund individual scholarships, political activities, or events like walks and runs, focusing instead on broad community impact.

Education
Education at all stages of life is a cornerstone to opportunity. We will invest in organizations that foster learning for those who are underserved or underrepresented.
Health & Wellness
Disease prevention is critical to a long and healthy life. We will invest in organizations who provide access to safe, clean, and healthy environments, options, and education.
We will invest in organizations who provide access to supportive systems, mental health resources, and awareness and prevention programs.
Disaster Response
The Sompo Foundation will respond to unforeseen and widespread catastrophic events in areas where employees and customers live and work.

Ineligibility

We are committed to supporting communities across the globe where Sompo employees and customers live and work. Because of the vast number of opportunities available, the Foundation is unable to respond with assistance to each opportunity. We will not consider sponsorship of the following:Walks and runsGolf outingsLocal athletic teams, clubs and activitiesGalas and fundraisersDonations, grants, or scholarships to individualsPolitical or lobbying efforts or activitiesReligious activitiesAreas outside of Sompo’s geographic reach
