Overview: The Small Grants Program was established by Priyakant "P.K." Desai, an original Board member of the Greene County Community Foundation who passed in 2015. P.K. supported the program with a gift of real estate.

Geographic Scope: Greene County, Ohio

Focus Areas: Capital items for charitable organizations. Grants go towards projects that have a well-planned approach to solving a problem and delivering services.

    Eligible Organizations

  • Primary: Charitable organizations exempt from federal taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Secondary: Non-501(c)(3) organizations may be eligible if there is documented charitable activity
  • Requirement: All organizations must benefit Greene County, Ohio

    Permanent or semi-permanent items such as:
  • Park benches
  • Shelving
  • Tires
  • Other capital equipment
