  • Servant Leadership Award - Recognizes sisters who have contributed to the growth of anti-trafficking networks and facilitated collaboration across cultures and religions
  • Human Dignity Award - Recognizes sisters with a proven record of effective anti-slavery work over 15+ years, leveraging familiarity with local customs, vulnerabilities, and community trust

  • Nominees can be submitted by sisters or anti-trafficking advocates
  • Focus on those representing their congregations and networks

  • Global - nominations accepted from sisters worldwide

About the Award

The SATAs is an annual celebration recognizing exceptional courage, creativity, collaboration and achievement in community protection from human trafficking. The inaugural awards were held on October 31, 2023 in London.

Purpose

  • Make the work of Catholic sisters on anti-trafficking frontlines known
  • Share knowledge and foster anti-trafficking efforts between congregations
  • Broaden and deepen the protection of communities vulnerable to trafficking worldwide
