Sioux County Community Foundation Grant

The Sioux County Community Foundation Grant aims to address emerging needs in Sioux County through charitable support for nonprofit organizations and local government units. Grants focus on areas such as arts, education, health, and human services, promoting community betterment and sustainability. Priority is given to projects with county-wide benefits and collaborative efforts, while generally excluding general operating expenses and multi-year grants. This initiative enhances the quality of life for Sioux County residents by connecting caring donors with impactful causes.

These gifts are carefully invested and the income from endowments is used to make grants to public charities that best meet the needs in the county.
The purpose of the SCCF grant program is to respond to present and emerging needs within Sioux County by making grants in the following areas:
The Sioux County Community Foundation (SCCF) Advisory Board is charged with carefully reviewing grant proposals and recommending grants to be awarded. The SCCF Advisory Board will make grant recommendations based on county and community needs, and the proposing organization’s capacity to effectively enhance the quality of life in Sioux County.

Eligibility

Grants will be made for charitable purposes to nonprofit organizations and units of local government that:

Serve Sioux County in Iowa. Are tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.Seed grants to implement a new program will only be considered if there is a sound plan for sustainability.

Ineligibility

Generally, requests for the following will not be given consideration:General operating expenses
Religious activities
Multi-year grantsApplicants awarded a grant are ineligible to receive a grant the following year.
