Sigma Xi: Young Investigator Award Grant

The Sigma Xi: Young Investigator Award honors outstanding research by active members of Sigma Xi within 10 years of their highest degree. Established in 1998, this prestigious award includes a $5,000 honorarium and a certificate of recognition. Recipients are invited to present their work at the Sigma Xi Annual Meeting, celebrating the Society's legacy of promoting scientific excellence and collaboration across disciplines.

About Sigma Xi
Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society is the international honor society of science and engineering. One of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world, Sigma Xi has a distinguished history of service to science and society for more than one hundred and twenty five years. Scientists and engineers, whose research spans the disciplines of science and technology, comprise the membership of the Society. Sigma Xi chapters can be found at colleges and universities, government laboratories, and industry research centers around the world. More than 200 Nobel Prize winners have been members.
The Greek letters "sigma" and "xi" form the acronym of the Society's motto, "Spoudon Xynones," which translates as "Companions in Zealous Research."
Since 1998, the annual YoungYIA Investigator Award recognizes excellence in research and includes a certificate of recognition and a $5,000 honorarium. The recipient is invited to present a lecture at the Sigma Xi Annual Meeting.

Eligibility

Any active (dues-paying) member of Sigma Xi within 10 years of his or her highest earned degree at the time of nomination is eligible.
