Overview
The Sigma/Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science Grant supports qualified nurses in enhancing global health through research. This grant encourages proposals for clinical, educational, or historical research, with an emphasis on disseminating findings. Funded by the Sigma Foundation for Nursing and the Council on Advancement of Nursing Science, it offers up to $5,000 annually to eligible applicants who are Sigma and CANS members and hold a Master's degree or equivalent.
NOTE: The Application and Letters of Support will be due at the deadline.
The Sigma/Council for Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS) grant encourages qualified nurses to improve the health of the world’s people through research. Proposals for clinical, educational or historical research, including plans for broadly disseminating the research findings, may be submitted for the grant.

Be a member in good standing of both Sigma and CANS.

Ready to implement research project when funding is received.Submit completed project’s abstract for presentation at Sigma or Council for Advancement of Nursing Science research meeting; and credit research grant partners in all publications and presentations of the research.
