The SICB Fellowship of Graduate Student Travel provides graduate students with funding of up to $2,000 for travel to distant research sites, offering opportunities to learn specialized techniques and utilize unique resources. Aiming to support 3-4 fellowships annually, applicants must be active members of SICB and can only apply for one program. Eligible expenses include travel costs, lodging, and other direct research support, while previous awardees and certain budget items are ineligible.

The Fellowship of Graduate Student Travel (FGST) provides student funds for travel and other expenses at distant research laboratories, museums, or field sites. The primary purpose is for travel to “distant” research sites to conduct field work, learn specialized techniques or to use unique equipment or collections. The Student Support Committee (SSC) expects to grant 3-4 fellowships of up to $2000 each year. Awards are made in amounts up to a maximum of $2,000.

Eligibility
