Senator Teel Bivins Scholarship Grant

The Senator Teel Bivins Scholarship, offered by the Amarillo Area Foundation, supports graduating seniors from Senate District 31 pursuing education degrees or teacher certification. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 85 and have completed or be enrolled in Honors/Advanced Placement or dual credit courses. This scholarship aims to enhance educational opportunities within the Texas Panhandle, fostering a new generation of educators committed to serving their communities.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of private citizens dedicated to their leadership role on philanthropic, nonprofit, and community issues.
For graduating seniors from schools located in Senate District 31, pursuing a degree/teacher certification in education. Must have a minimum GPA of 85 (3.4). They may attend any accredited college in the State of Texas. Must have taken or be enrolled in Honors/Advanced Placement courses or dual credit courses.
