Marsh Minority Scholarship Grant

The Marsh Minority Scholarship, offered by the Amarillo Area Foundation, supports Hispanic and African American students enrolled at West Texas A&M University. This scholarship targets junior and senior college-level students, as well as candidates in master's and doctoral programs, who are pursuing careers in teaching, nursing, sociology, allied health, or general studies. Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to qualify for this valuable financial support.

The Amarillo Area Foundation is the only community foundation serving Texas’ northernmost 26 counties. Since its inception in 1957 and into the future, the Foundation provides grants and services to strengthen nonprofit organizations and the services they deliver. The Foundation is governed by a Board of private citizens dedicated to their leadership role on philanthropic, nonprofit, and community issues.
For Hispanic and African American junior and senior college-level students, masters and doctoral program candidates majoring in a field that will lead to a career in teaching, nursing, sociology, allied health, or general studies and attend West Texas A&M University. Must have a 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA to apply.
