NOTE: Pre-Proposal - This deadline represents the submission of your registration.Full Proposal - Invite Only - Once your registration is submitted and approved, you will receive an invitation to complete and submit a full grant application. Approvals to submit a full application are generally made within 5 business days. SECU Foundation Grant Thank you for your interest in the SECU Foundation Grant Program. Grants are directed toward non-profits and governmental organizations that demonstrate the Credit Union philosophy of people helping people. The SECU Foundation will promote local and community development by primarily funding high impact projects in the areas of housing, education, healthcare, and human services. The State Employees’ Credit Union Board of Directors chartered the SECU Foundation to help identify and address community issues that are beyond the normal scope of State Employees’ Credit Union. While individual members may not have a large impact, collectively and cooperatively the Foundation can go a long way toward helping solve problems in our neighborhoods, schools and our community at large.

Grant Programs:Capital – Funds projects that are tangible, permanent, and visible; Typically supporting construction or major renovation of a building or a facility. Programmatic – Funds pilot programs or large-scale program expansions that provide regional or statewide services. Mission Development Grants – supporting smaller nonprofits with capacity building through organizational assessments, goal setting, and creating pathways for expansion.

Ineligibility

SECU Foundation does not fund the following:Endowment campaigns;Individuals or individual projects;General or administrative costs;Political or religious programs; andReduction or liquidation of debt.  This program does not fund projects focused on support for operational budgets, nor on budget shortfalls.The Foundation does not fund for-profit organizations.
