SEAL Scholarship - Returning Students

Overview: The SEAL Scholarship for returning students rewards continuing students who volunteer, mentor, and take initiative in leadership roles. Success within the academic context and experiences beyond the classroom are vital to discovering purpose.

Eligibility

Applicants: Currently enrolled students at CCCB
Online Students: Not eligible for returning student awards
Status: Must be enrolled full-time (12+ hours)
Renewal: Scholarships renew each year if students maintain an institutional GPA of 2.0 and end the semester with no disciplinary probation

Award Categories

Service (Up to $1,000/year)

One year of participation in regular, scheduled service

Qualifying activities: Mission trip, Chapel service, Traveling team, Church service, Community service, Student-led ministry

Residential: $1,000

Commuter: $500

Experience (Up to $1,000/year)

Participation in at least one qualifying experience

Qualifying activities: Holy Land trip, Archaeology dig, Next Gen Preacher Search (top 20), Personal chapel reflections (24/year, 12/semester)

Residential: $1,000

Commuter: $500

Academics (Varies)

President's Award: High School or College GPA > 3.5

Dean's Award: High School or College GPA > 3.0

Students may apply for one academic award adjustment during their entire CCCB career

One year as a CCCB leader in qualifying areas

Qualifying roles: Student Council, Mission trip leadership, Chapel leadership, Student-led ministry, Discipler

3. Single Award per Category: Returning students are limited to only one award in each category during enrollment at CCCB
4. Academic Appeals: One academic level appeal allowed during entire CCCB career
5. Full-Time Enrollment: Must be enrolled full-time (12+ hours)
6. Annual Renewal: Must maintain institutional GPA of 2.0 and have no disciplinary probation
