SEAL Scholarship - Incoming Students

Funder: Central Christian College of the Bible

Overview: CCCB scholarships are provided by the generosity of individuals who support Central. The SEAL Scholarship rewards students who volunteer, mentor, and take initiative in leadership roles. The program recognizes success within the academic context and experiences beyond the classroom as vital to discovering purpose.

Eligibility

Applicants: Incoming students
Status: Must be enrolled full-time each semester (12+ hours)
Renewal: Renewable each year by maintaining a qualifying cumulative GPA without ending the year on disciplinary probation

Award Categories

Service (Up to $2,000/year)

One year of participation in regular, scheduled service

Qualifying activities: Mission trip, Camp service, Church service, Community service, or similar

Residential: $2,000

Commuter & Online: $750

Experience (Up to $2,000/year)

At least two seasons of extra-curricular, competitive-level participation

Qualifying activities: Bible Bowl, Band or Choir, Theater, Athletics, Science Olympiad, Scholar Bowl or Mathletes, Military/Reserve/Guard, Next Gen Preacher Search (top 20), or similar

Residential: $2,000

Commuter & Online: $750

Academics (Up to $4,000/year)

President's Award: High School or College GPA > 3.5

- Residential: $4,000
- Commuter & Online: $2,000

Dean's Award: High School or College GPA > 3.0

- Residential: $2,500
- Commuter & Online: $1,250

Leadership (Up to $2,000/year)

At least one year of service as a leader or officer

Qualifying roles: Student Government, 4-H, FBLA, FFA, FCA, Scouting Organizations, Youth Group, ROTC, or similar

Residential: $2,000

Commuter & Online: $750

Award amounts are annual and are not disbursed in summer sessions

1. Submit Application: Apply using the SEAL Incoming Student Application
2. Verify Activities: Ensure all activities are verified to have occurred in the previous two years
3. Multiple Awards: Students may earn one award in each SEAL category (Service, Experience, Academics, Leadership)
4. Full-Time Enrollment: Must be enrolled full-time (12+ hours) each semester
5. Annual Renewal: Submit renewal application each year to maintain scholarship; must maintain qualifying cumulative GPA and avoid disciplinary probation
