Geographic Scope: River Region (Montgomery area) and Wiregrass regions

Focus Areas: Postsecondary education support for students

Award Information:

• Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000
• Some scholarships may be renewed annually
• Over 230 scholarship funds available through CACF
• Recent award cycle (2018): $233,800 awarded to 154 students

Eligibility:

• Primary target: Graduating high school seniors
• Qualifying criteria varies broadly by scholarship fund
• Students must live in the River Region or Wiregrass areas

Eligible Counties: Autauga, Coffee, Cullman, Dale, Elmore, Geneva, Henry, Houston, Lowndes, Macon, and Montgomery

Scholarship Administration:

• CACF manages and invests scholarship funds for long-term growth
• CACF staff manages scholarship application requests
• CACF works with each donor to determine award criteria and selection
• Individual donors and organizations can establish scholarship funds with CACF
