Overview

The Saigh Foundation’s mission is to “enhance the quality of life in the St. Louis metropolitan region through support of charitable projects and initiatives which primarily benefit children and youth through education and health care." To that end, the Saigh Foundation has supported grants through The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis to recently graduated high school students pursuing postsecondary education since 2005. Saigh Bravo Grants are renewable scholarship grants of $12,000 per year and are awarded to graduating high school seniors with significant financial need, who have overcome extraordinary barriers to their education.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a resident of the St. Louis metropolitan area for at least two years prior to the date of the application or have graduated from a St. Louis metropolitan area high school in the past two years. The metropolitan area includes St. Louis city, the Missouri counties of St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, St. Charles, or Warren, and the Illinois counties of Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair. Demonstrate significant financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations. This opportunity is designed for students with significant financial need. Therefore, applicants with a Student Aid Index (SAI) over $2,776 must have significant and extenuating circumstances to be considered. Have achieved a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale Plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit college or university

Ineligibility

Ministry and divinity degrees, are ineligible for funding.
