Purpose Created from the assets of the Sheltered Activity Center when it dissolved, the fund is dedicated to improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities through education, independence and social opportunities. What We Fund New and existing programs or services that address the recreational, social and educational needs of people with developmental disabilities and other handicapping conditions. Priority will be given to innovative direct service programs or projects that promote independence, productivity, respect and inclusion for all individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.Small capital investments including equipment for agencies to assist clients with developmental disabilities and technology that supports programming and aids in mission fulfillment.Recurring activities such as education or mentoring events, camps, competitions, therapy, or non-fundraising events.
