Program Description:
RCDI helps community-based development organizations, federally recognized Indian tribes and other groups promote economic development in low-income, rural communities. BDCC received $230,000 to develop economic development capacity in the Windham and Bennington County regions of Southern Vermont.
Use of Funds:
- Regional capacity development to support economic development across Windham and Bennington counties
- Workforce training, retention, recruitment initiatives
- Sustainable business investment support
- Improve capacity within partner organizations to serve economically challenged small towns
- Increased awareness of CEDS initiatives and strategies across Southern Vermont
