Rocky Community Improvement Fund (RCIF) Grants

Partnership: The Rocky Community Improvement Fund and Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville

Geographic Scope: Broader than Athens County - serves Hocking, Perry, Meigs, Morgan, Vinton, and Washington counties

Eligibility:

  • 501(c)(3) organizations

  • Government agencies

  • Projects with fiscal sponsorship agreements with 501(c)(3) organizations

    • Priority Given To:

  • Projects that comply with mission and values of RCIF, Athens County Foundation, and Osteopathic Heritage Foundation

  • Projects incorporating new approaches to current or emerging needs

  • Projects encouraging cooperation among organizations and avoiding duplication of services

  • Organizations demonstrating ability to leverage additional funds

    • What RCIF Does NOT Fund:

  • Individuals

  • Endowments

  • Budget deficits

  • Scholarships

  • Religious purposes

  • Political or legislative action groups

  • Support or promotion of specific points of view on right-to-life and pro-choice issues

  • Annual fundraising drives

    • Grant Cycles:

  • Spring 2025 cycle (opening soon)

  • Fall cycle

    • Donor Recognition Requirement: RCIF and Osteopathic Heritage Foundation partnership must be recognized as donors in any publicity about the funded project. Logos available in digital form.
