ACF: Nonprofit Capacity Building Grant

Nonprofit Capacity Building Grant

This funding opportunity will consider requests of up to $3,000 for capacity building for each applicant.  Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from established 501c3s or fiscally sponsored organizations.

Example of eligible capacity-building activities:

* Board or staff development or training
* DEI Training
* Donor engagement consulting
* Financial/accounting support
* Grantwriting support
* Meeting facilitation/moderation
* Policy manuals or procedures creation and/or training (e.g. HR, or others)
* Social media development consulting
* Staff health and wellness
* Stipends for advisors

Eligibility

* Must be a 501c(3) or a fiscally sponsored organization serving Athens County.
* Any eligible organization, located within or outside Athens County, is welcome to apply to any of our competitive grant programs as long as the organization’s project benefits the residents of Athens County.
* If your program serves multiples counties, please make sure to indicate the cost of implementing your program in Athens County only.
* Typically, our grants need to be spent within one year of fund receipt.
* We will consider funding for programs/projects that can be completed within the 1-year timeline.
* If your proposals will take longer than a year to complete, please apply for what you’ll need for the year, and then reapply for funding in the next cycle.

Ineligibility

* Like many donors, we receive many more requests than we can fund.
* As a result, grants will not be considered for the following purposes:
* endowments
* scholarships
* religious purposes
* political or legislative action groups
* annual fundraising drives
