Robert W. Knox, Jr., a resident of Houston, Texas, established the Foundation in 1964 in honor of his parents Robert W. Knox, Sr. and Pearl Wallis Knox. Robert W. Robert Knox was active in the real estate business in Houston and was a veteran of both world wars.
