Clark and Ruby Baker Foundation Grant

The Clark and Ruby Baker Foundation Grant aims to support charitable organizations that align with the philanthropic mission of the Baker family, focusing on Methodist-affiliated educational institutions, aid for disadvantaged children, and assistance for the sick in Georgia. The Foundation considers funding for construction projects of educational and medical facilities, ensuring that grants are awarded to meet specific community needs and promote long-term benefits.

Introduction
The majority of these foundations were created and structured by donors to provide focused grantmaking based on specific program and/or geographic funding guidelines.
Working with internal or external distribution committees, co-trustees, family members, or external advisors, we carefully evaluate grant proposals to ensure that meaningful grants are awarded in accordance with the philanthropic mission of each foundation. We have prepared these grantmaking guidelines as a general overview to help the nonprofit community better understand the grantmaking goals and process for Georgia-based foundations.

Eligibility

The Baker family cared deeply about the Methodist Church and founded the Foundation to support Methodist affiliated, higher educational institutions in rural or small towns; charitable organizations that serve infirm, deserving, and aged ministers; economically disadvantaged and deserving children; or orphans and orphanages.The Foundation also provides support to charitable organizations that extend financial aid to the sick and infirm receiving medical treatment in any hospital or clinic in the state of Georgia. Capital support for the construction of educational facilities at a college or university; clinics or hospitals; libraries; or any building with a charitable use may be considered.On occasion, multi-year support is awarded

The Foundation do not provide support for endowment campaigns.
