Richard Reed Foundation Grant

That’s why our foundation seeks out smaller, forward-thinking organizations that are looking to create better communities through outreach in areas of mental health, child health and development, community welfare, animal welfare and environmental impact. We seek out problem-solvers, innovators, educators, dreamers and do-ers. We hope that by helping these small organizations carry out their visions and achieve their goals, our impact will be exponential.
Grant Information
The Richard Reed Foundation seeks out smaller, forward-thinking, non-profit organizations that are looking to create better communities through outreach and programs in areas of mental health, child health and development, community welfare, animal welfare, and community environmental impact.

Eligibility

The foundation’s geographical focus is Colorado and Northern California.What we’re looking in a potential grantee:Alignment with the foundation’s mission and interestsProven track record of success with programmingClearly presented goals, objectives and strategiesDemonstrated financial needSustainable and diversified funding streamsEffective and qualified leadershipOngoing organization & program evaluationCommunity support through donations, volunteer engagement and partnershipsUtilization of best practices and principles across all levels of the organizationOrganizational transparencyExample Programs We Have FundedMental healthFamily support services for those facing critical illnessHomeless self-sufficiencyAnimal rescue/shelters and sanctuariesAdaptive sport organizationsProgramming for at-risk youthEnvironmental & sustainability education and programmingTypical grants range between $5,000 and $10,000. We accept grant requests for both specific programs/projects and general operating expenses within our funding areas. We do provide matching grants. Only one application per organization is accepted per calendar year. If your organization is facing an unusual hardship, we might consider an additional grant on a case by case basis.
