Reuter Family Foundation Grant

The Reuter Family Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations providing essential human services to the poor and disadvantaged in Collin County and Dallas, Texas. Grants typically do not exceed $100,000 annually, and the foundation aims to engage with grantees directly. Eligible projects include support for displaced individuals and programs addressing substance abuse and mental health challenges.

Note: The Reuter Family Foundation receives Proposals all year except during November, December and January. We will contact you 2 to 4 weeks after receipt of your proposal.
We are a relatively small foundation granting less than $100,000 per year. We often enjoy meeting at our prospective grantee sites and sometimes participating with them in certain projects. For this reason we confine our grants to social service organizations in the Collin County and Dallas, Texas area.
Focus Area
Since its inception, the Foundation has concentrated its grant awards on emergency assistance to the poor and needy, services and rehabilitation for individuals with chemical dependencies, abused women and low-cost housing.
Eligible Projects
Provide emergency assistance to displaced individuals.
Assist with affordable housing.
Provide social services to the poor and disadvantaged.
Provide temporary and/or permanent housing for the safety of youth and/or adults.
Assist underserved families with early childhood education.
Provide programs for substance abuse, addiction or mental health.

Eligibility

The Reuter Family Foundation makes grants to only nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, or to government agencies in the Collin County and Dallas, Texas area.

Ineligibility

We do not make grants directly to individuals.It is our policy to not grant more than two years in a row to any agency.Except in unusual circumstances The Reuter Family Foundation does not grant monies for:

Endowment programs. Construction or renovation of buildings.
Equipment purchases including computers, software, recorders, DVD players, etc.
Artistic or civic projects.
Debt reductions.
Benefit functions.
Conferences, travel or media projects.
Graduate studies, scholarships, tuition, some training programs.
To influence legislation or participate in any political campaigns.
