Restorative Practices Cohort - Elementary Settings

Overview: Year-long professional development cohort for up to 20 educators in elementary (Pre-K-6th grade) settings in restorative practices.

Geographic Scope: Saint Paul, Minnesota

Target Audience: Elementary settings (Pre-K-6th grade), including:

  • Administrators

  • Classroom teachers

  • Educational Support Professionals (ESPs)

  • Licensed support professionals
  • Focus Areas:

  • Restorative practices training and implementation

  • Building relational learning environments

  • Community building circles

  • Content circles connecting to student lived experiences

  • Accountability and harm restoration

  • School-wide and classroom implementation
  • Eligibility:

  • Work in elementary (Pre-K-6th grade) settings

  • Must be able to commit to all 7 days of training
  • Key Features:

  • 7-day training series

  • Monthly Saturday convenings (4 hours each) plus 2-day launch

  • Beginning November 2019

  • Up to 5 educators from same school can attend together

  • Educators will develop skills, heart, and capacity to lead restorative practice learning
  • Cost:

  • Individual: $250

  • School site (up to 5 educators): $750
  • Training Dates (2019-2020 cohort):

  • Friday, November 1st (union-paid sub day)

  • Saturday, November 2nd

  • Saturday, December 7th

  • Saturday, January 11th

  • Saturday, February 8th

  • Saturday, February 29th

  • Saturday, April 18th
