Residential Low-Income Weatherization Program (RLIWP)

Funder: Graham County Electric Cooperative in partnership with Southeastern Arizona Community Action Programs (SEACAP)

Program Goal: Improve energy efficiency in homes and reduce energy consumption and utility bills for low-income residents through year-round weatherization measures

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current GCEC member

  • Household income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines

  • Own or reside in home within GCEC service area
  • Services Provided: Program includes weatherization measures such as:

  • Caulking and weather-stripping

  • Insulation (attic, wall, and duct)

  • Other energy efficiency improvements as needed
  • Cost to Participant: Provided at no cost to eligible members

    Program Administration:

  • SEACAP representative conducts home assessment

  • SEACAP determines work needed

  • SEACAP installs weatherization measures on approved homes
  • Funding Status: Subject to available funding and requirements set forth in approved Energy Efficiency Implementation Plan

    Step 2: Complete application and submit to SEACAP

    Step 3: SEACAP representative will schedule home assessment

    Step 4: If approved, SEACAP will schedule and complete weatherization work
