Research Support Committee (RSC) Funding

Overview: The Research Support Committee was established to provide a funding mechanism for new research projects and facilitate the scientific development of novice researchers by offering in-process peer review of research proposals.

Two Major Objectives

1. Provide a funding mechanism for new research projects 2. Facilitate the scientific development of novice researchers by offering in-process peer review of research proposals

Priority Consideration Categories

• Primary Priority: Pre-tenure, full-time faculty members; master's and doctorate degree students; residents in various advanced education training programs
• Secondary Priority: Postdoctoral fellows; senior investigators with established research programs; DDS students; pre-degree dental hygiene students; non-tenure, full-time faculty (given sufficient funds at end of fiscal year)

Eligibility

• Faculty members at UMKC School of Dentistry
• Master's degree students
• Doctorate degree students
• Residents in advanced education training programs
• Postdoctoral fellows
• DDS students
• Dental hygiene students
• Other researchers affiliated with UMKC School of Dentistry
