Reproductive Health and Family Planning Grants: Women’s Health Block Grant – Racial Minority

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services offers Reproductive Health and Family Planning Grants aimed at supporting racial minority health professionals. With a total funding of $31,500 per grant period, these grants aim to employ licensed nurses and midwives in minority communities. The program, effective from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, will award up to 10 agreements to enhance healthcare access and services for underserved populations.

The purpose of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Reproductive Health and Family Planning (RHFP) Program is to support a network of clinics across the state that provide client-centered quality RHFP services.
The RHFP program coordinates care and focuses on comprehensive services by bringing together a variety of providers and referral partners for providing standard information, training, and resources to all partners.
To aid in the provision of RHFP services, the RHFP Program announces these grant funding opportunities (GFO):

As directed in Wisconsin Legislature: 253.07(4)(d), this funding will specifically aid in the employment in communities of licensed registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurse-midwives, or licensed physician assistants who are members of a racial minority.
Grant Agreement Period
The initial grant agreement period shall be effective from 1/1/2026 through 12/31/2026, with a renewal option of four additional periods.
Grant Funding Amount
The total amount of funds available for all proposers through this GFO is $31,500 per grant period, up to five grant periods.
Number of Grant Agreements
It is the intention of the Department to award up to 10 grant agreements for the services required in this GFO.
