Rees-Jones Foundation Grant

The Rees-Jones Foundation, established in 2006, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in North Texas through thoughtful philanthropy. With a mission grounded in the love of Christ, the foundation supports non-profits in various sectors including animal welfare, child welfare, and community benefit. It particularly focuses on initiatives that foster community transformation and is open to grant applications year-round, encouraging early submissions to ensure timely funding.

NOTE:
The Foundation accepts grant applications throughout the year. However, it is a good idea to submit your application at least 4 months before the funding is needed.In addition to the locations listed above, the Foundation considers requests from Christian non-profit organizations working internationally in the Foundation’s areas of giving, by invitation only.

Eligibility

The Foundation distributes grants only to qualified public entities or organizations exempt from tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue CodeOrganizations must serve residents (companion animals, children, youth and their families) of Dallas-Fort Worth. Because the need is so great within North Texas, grants will not be awarded to programs that serve constituencies outside of North Texas — even if a program falls within one of The Foundation’s portfolio areas.The Foundation will fund general operating expenses, requests for specific programs or projects, and capital requests.

Ineligibility

The Foundation does not support other private foundations or commercial businesses. The Foundation does not make loans or grants to individuals.While we do partner with select international Christian organizations, this is done on an invitation-only basis and grant applications for international programs will not be considered.The Foundation typically does not make grants to underwrite fundraising events, scholarships, professional conferences, symposiums, performances, competition expenses, or to fund endowments.The Foundation does not support lobbying of any kind. The Foundation does not support other private foundations or commercial businesses.
