Eligible Crisis Types:

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a Wayne County resident

Currently experiencing a crisis (natural or personal) or in recovery/transition

Must provide photo identification

Must provide transition documents

Must provide proof of income and transition

Voucher Amounts:

Single person: $150

Household/family of 2-4: $325

Household/family of 5+: $475

Limitations:

Assistance limited to one household once per year

Vouchers expire 14 days from issue date

Amounts subject to change

Funding available as funds allow

Can be referred by United Way of Wayne County Community Partner or other Verified Partner (e.g., UNC Healthcare, Wayne County Public Schools)

Referrals submitted through NCCARES360 or direct contact with UWWC

If referring agency involved in client's transition, referral letter required
