Quaternary Research Small Grant

The Quaternary Research Small Grant, offered by the Quaternary Research Association, supports research in Quaternary studies for members with at least one year of standing. Eligible expenses include field expeditions, equipment hire, and laboratory analysis. The initiative promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion within the research community. With over 1000 international members, the QRA fosters collaboration among professionals from various scientific disciplines, enhancing the understanding of Quaternary problems and encouraging innovative research.

The Quaternary Research Small Grant is available to all members of the QRA of at least one year’s standing, irrespective of age and status, to foster research in any area of Quaternary studies. Grants can be used to fund expenses such as:

The Quaternary Research Fund is available to all members of the QRA of at least one year's standing, irrespective of age and status, to foster research in any area of Quaternary studies.Multiple grants may be made in each awards round.

Ineligibility

Please note that:we are not able to accept applications for radiocarbon dates (these are normally expected to be routed through NERC); andwe do not generally fund labour costs, except in exceptional circumstances.
