PWDF Pilot Grant Program

Funder: People With Disabilities Foundation (PWDF)

Geographic Scope: California (based in San Francisco, Bay Area focus)

Mission Alignment: PWDF provides grants to nonprofit agencies working to integrate people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities into society, consistent with PWDF's mission of education and advocacy.

Funding Focus

• Advocacy and education programs
• Vocational services and training
• Programs addressing areas of particular impact to people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities
• Full-scale advocacy and education where there is a void for this population
• General operating expenses if related to a specific program or project

Key Considerations

• Primary focus: IMPACT and NEED to accomplish PWDF's mission (and financial need)
• Grant size: Pilot program awards smaller grants in the range of $5,000 to $12,500, with goal of future expansion for larger awards

Eligibility

• Nonprofit agencies (501(c)(3))
• Organizations working with people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities

Current Status

• NOT currently accepting applications: PWDF is not accepting letters of interest at this time
• No future cycles scheduled: All grant cycles will be publicly announced through PWDF's e-newsletter and Grants page on website
• Program is in ongoing development phase
