About Us The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation (Parasol) is a non-profit, public charity that is dedicated to supporting the Lake Tahoe Region – now and into the future.  We are building a more prosperous community by partnering with donors to make their charitable giving more meaningful, by supporting quality programs provided by local nonprofit organizations and by providing community leadership on emerging issues. Eligibility

Grants are not award for the following uses:Direct religious activity, political lobbying activities or other political purposesSponsoring special events (i.e. fundraising, dinners, etc)Nonprofits for their grantmaking (pass through funding)Activities that have already occurred/reimbursing prior expenses
