About Us The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation (Parasol) is a non-profit, public charity that is dedicated to supporting the Lake Tahoe Region – now and into the future.  We are building a more prosperous community by partnering with donors to make their charitable giving more meaningful, by supporting quality programs provided by local nonprofit organizations and by providing community leadership on emerging issues. Eligibility

Be recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization that has held its tax-exempt status for two years or more; 501(c)(3) public charity or school in good standing.Be incorporated in California or Nevada; in good standing with the respective state.Directly provide more than 50% of services in the Tahoe Basin.

Ineligibility

Grants are not award for the following uses:Direct religious activity, political lobbying activities or other political purposesSponsoring special events (i.e. fundraising, dinners, etc)Nonprofits for their grantmaking (pass through funding)Activities that have already occurred/reimbursing prior expenses
