ProVeg Grants

Overview: A grant programme offering expertise and support to high-potential organisations focused on transforming the food system and reducing animal consumption.

Status: Currently invitation-only. Transitioned from open applications to invitation-only system to better align with strategic priorities. No longer accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. Previously submitted expressions of interest and full applications will receive responses.

  • Other institutional catering programmes

  • Corporate rankings

  • V-Label certification and promotion

  • Transforming national dietary guidelines

  • Lobbying for plant-forward policies

  • Eligibility:

  • Organisations and individuals focused on diet-change work

  • Work must align with ProVeg's mission to reduce global consumption of animals by 50% by 2040

  • Eligible applicant types:

  • - NGOs/Non-profit organisations
    - Groups without non-profit status
    - Individuals
    - Other (with explanation)
  • Primary focus should be on diet-change (vegan advocacy, meat reduction, reducing/eliminating animals as food)

  • Can also conduct farmed-animal-welfare work (cage-free campaigns, etc.)

    Expression of Interest (for eligible organizations):

    Step 1: Register Interest Through Online Form (5 minutes)

  • Which best describes you/your organisation? (NGO/Non-profit, Group without nonprofit status, Individual, Other)

  • Does your organisation conduct ONLY diet-change work? (Yes - only diet-change; Also conduct farmed-animal-welfare work; Other)

  • What is your organisation's mission?

  • What is the title of your proposed project?

  • For which category are you applying? (School/university catering, Institutional catering, Corporate rankings, V-Label, Transforming dietary guidelines, Lobbying for plant-forward policies, Challenge-based campaigns, Unrestricted operating support, Other)

  • Is this new or continuing project?

  • Which country/countries does project target?

  • Have you previously received ProVeg or EVA grant?
  • Step 3: Grants Team Review

  • Team reviews initial submission against application criteria

  • If details match criteria, applicant receives full application form link
  • Full Application (if invited):

  • Complete detailed application form

  • Assessment based on predetermined criteria

  • Review committee processes applications
  • Selection Process:

  • Review committee determines final funding decisions

  • ProVeg International makes final discretionary decision on all grants
  • Application Criteria:
    Applicants must read and meet published application criteria before submitting.

  • Due diligence and compliance checks completed
