Note: 1) Applications will be submitted in two phases: a Concept Proposal (indicated above as Pre-Proposal) and a Full Application. Applicants will first submit a Concept Proposal that will be reviewed by RMC staff. 2) RMC staff will select Concept Proposals to move forward and will invite selected applicants to submit Full Applications. 3) It is strongly recommended that prospective applicants contact RMC staff for a consultation prior to submitting a Concept Proposal. San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) The San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) was created by the California legislature in 1999. We’re one of ten conservancies within the California Resources Agency. Our mission is to preserve open space and habitat in order to provide for low-impact recreation and educational uses, wildlife habitat restoration and protection, and watershed improvements within our jurisdictions. This work supports the public’s enjoyment and enhancement of recreational and educational experiences on public lands in a manner consistent with the protection of lands and resources in those watersheds. Proposition 4 – Wildfire and Forest Resilience Purpose Wildfire and Forest Resilience [Section 91520(l)]: may be awarded for projects that promote watershed improvement, wildfire resilience, chaparral and forest restoration, and workforce development that addresses needs related to this subdivision and is designed to create career pathways for individuals from disadvantaged communities, severely disadvantaged communities, or vulnerable populations
