Overview: Provides highly motivated teachers with training and experience needed to bring a group of their students into the field on Earthwatch expeditions.

Target Audience:

  • Teachers who are highly motivated to lead student groups in field research

  • Support: Teachers receive comprehensive training on organizing immersive hands-on science experiences

  • Background: Earthwatch recognizes extremely high demand for education programs—routinely receives 10-20 times more applications than funded opportunities. Project Kindle expands capacity for teachers to provide these opportunities.
