Program Grant (New Programs)

Geographic Scope: Tredyffrin/Easttown School District, Pennsylvania

Focus Areas: Education-based, age-appropriate enriching programs for students in preschool through high school

Program Categories:

  • After-school homework clubs

  • Music programs

  • Reading programs

  • Summer academic programs

  • College readiness programs

  • Other enriching academic, fine arts, and leadership programs
  • Eligibility:

  • Programs must serve students in Tredyffrin/Easttown Schools (preschool through high school)

  • Programs must be education-based and age-appropriate

  • Programs should serve students who may benefit, especially those facing barriers to educational success

  • Applicants must be T/E School District teachers, principals, guidance counselors, librarians, or community members
  • Mission Alignment: Programs must help ensure students have opportunities, support, and academic tools they need to succeed in school

    Evaluation Requirements:

  • Applicants must clearly measure and evaluate program impact

  • Programs are evaluated annually for attainment of project goals and cost-effectiveness

  • Programs must be renewed annually

  • Grant recipients must submit evaluation within 30 days of program completion

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    Overview: Complete the FLITE Grant Application Form to describe your program. The Programs Committee meets monthly to consider grant proposals.

    Required Information:
    1. Grant Information:
    - Name of program to be funded
    - Total amount requested
    - Itemization of expenses
    - School year for grant (e.g., 2026-2027)
    - Targeted start date
    - Grant status (New or Renewal)
    - Whether one-time or renewal anticipated
    - For renewals: upload copy of last year's evaluation

    2. Requestor Information:
    - Name, email, phone
    - Mailing address
    - T/E School District location (if applicable)
    - Additional applicant emails (up to 2)
    - T/E School District teacher: Yes/No
    - Principal approval (required for teacher requests)

    3. Program Details:
    - Short summary description of program
    - Detailed description including grade levels and approximate number of children served
    - Goals and objectives
    - Summary of published research supporting program efficacy and best practices
    - Expected impact on students and FLITE mission fulfillment
    - Parent involvement description
    - Calculation of grant amount, # students impacted, grant amount per student, grade level, timing

    4. Evaluation and Measurement:
    - How program goals/objectives will be measured
    - Include specific metrics and evaluation criteria

    5. Budget:
    - Detail each program component
    - Itemize expenses for each component
    - Grant disbursement schedule (throughout year or lump sum at end)
    - Include estimated dates and amounts for disbursement
    - List other funding sources investigated and committed

    6. Supporting Materials:
    - Attach supporting information (spreadsheets, documents, graphs, etc.)
    - File types permitted: PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX, CSV
    - Max 5 files, 256 MB per file

    7. For Renewal Requests:
    - Describe changes to scope compared to prior years
    - Describe changes to budget compared to prior years

  • How well program meets FLITE mission

  • Program implementation plan

  • Program impact on district and students

  • Evaluation methodology

  • Budget appropriateness and cost-effectiveness
