The Professor Hering Memorial Research Fund The Professor Hering Memorial Research Fund – for the promotion of entomological research, particularly into leaf miners, microlepidoptera, Diptera and also other insect groups. Annual awards may be made from this Fund for the promotion of entomological research with particular emphasis on: leaf minersDiptera, particularly Tephritidae and AgromyzidaeLepidoptera, particularly Microlepidopterageneral entomology Successful applicants are required to submit an article to the Society’s journal and/or present a poster at our annual Members Day or Annual Exhibition. Awards may be made to assist travelling, for fieldwork expenses and equipment, for the study of collections, or, exceptionally, for the costs of publication of finished work. In total an award is unlikely to exceed £600 in 2026.
