NATA Foundation
The NATA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), was incorporated in 1991 and established with grants from NATA and Johnson & Johnson.
The Foundation’s work benefits every athletic trainer (AT) and every company associated with the profession, as well as the physically active community at large. Athletic trainers are health care professionals who can be seen on the sidelines, on the job site, on the stage, the battlefield and even in space. They collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
Research Grants
Thank you for your interest in the NATA Research & Education Foundation Research Grant Programs. The NATA Foundation leadership is pleased to offer programs that offers financial support for research.
Each year, the NATA Foundation provides funds for exceptional research projects submitted to both the Professional Research Grant Program and the Student Research Grant Program.

Current funding amount for the grant cycle are as follows:

• General - $50,000 (total cost limit) - 3 years

Eligibility

Proposals in all topic areas relevant to athletic training will be considered, with the highest quality of these being chosen.
An investigator may be the primary investigator on 2 grant proposals per grant cycle. General Grant Category:Any health care professional, researcher, or educator may apply for a research grant. However either the Primary Investigator, or Co-Primary Investigator must be a BOC certified athletic trainer, a member of the NATA, and hold an NPI number.
