Program Description:
Each year, the GRAMMY Museum Grant Program awards grants to organizations and individuals to support the archiving and preservation of the recorded sound heritage of North America. This category is specifically for organizations/departments located within institutions such as libraries, museums, or other organizations where archiving, preservation, cataloguing and related expertise are accessible to the project.

Letter of Intent (LOI) Requirements

The LOI includes the following information:

1. Preservation Implementation Grant Information
- Organization/department information
- Location within institution (library, museum, etc.)
- Description of archiving, preservation, and cataloguing expertise available

2. Collection Details
- Identification of project materials
- Confirmation that materials are in possession of applicant
- Description of recorded sound heritage being preserved

3. Preservation Plan
- Overview of archiving and preservation activities planned
- Cataloguing approach
- Timeline for implementation

4. Project Personnel
- Information on key personnel and their expertise
