Practice Site Recruitment and Retention Grant Program

The Practice Site Recruitment and Retention Grant Program, offered by the Tennessee Center for Health Workforce Development, provides a $50,000 financial incentive to practice sites in rural or underserved areas of Tennessee. This grant supports recruitment and retention of primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and dentists. Eligible applicants can use the funds for sign-on bonuses, relocation expenses, and tuition repayment, helping to enhance healthcare access in these communities.

NOTE: Applications are accepted anytime and reviewed quarterly. Once an application is submitted, please allow 3-4 weeks for a response.

Practice Site Recruitment and Retention Incentive
The Practice Site Recruitment and Retention Incentive is a $50,000 grant available to practice sites in rural or underserved areas of Tennessee. This incentive can assist with your recruiting or retention needs. Acceptable positions to use funds for are primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psych nurse practitioners, and dentists. Awarded funds can be used for:

• Sign-on bonus
• Relocation expensesInsurance
• Locum tenens
• Tuition or loan repayment
• If all of the funds awarded are not utilized, the participant must return the remaining funds to TCWD.
