Health Sciences Achievement Award
Overview: Formerly known as the Mary Layne Van Cleave (MLVC) Achievement Award, this award is given to Tennessee high school seniors who are pursuing a degree in a healthcare field after graduation.
Award Amount: $2,000 per recipient with no requirements on how the money must be spent.
Geographic Scope: Tennessee
Focus Areas: Healthcare careers and post-secondary healthcare education
Purpose: Established to encourage Tennessee high school seniors to pursue post-secondary programs (training, certificates, or degrees) to set them on a path for a career in healthcare.
Eligibility:
Alumni Award: Previous recipients are welcome to apply for the alumni award in the year following their initial award receipt. Alumni awards are also $2,000 with no spending requirements.
