Power For Progress Scholarships - High School Students

Program Overview: Since 1995, Southwestern Electric Cooperative's Power For Progress Scholarship Program has provided more than $300,000 in academic assistance to students in the service territory.

Award Amount: $1,200 per scholarship

Number of Awards: 13 scholarships awarded to high school students graduating in 2026

Eligible Uses: Tuition at any accredited U.S. university, college or technical school

    Eligibility Requirements

  • You or your parent/guardian must be an active Southwestern Electric Co-op member
  • You must be admitted as a full-time student for Fall 2026
  • You must be a high school student graduating in 2026
  • Not eligible: Southwestern directors, employees, and their immediate families

    Geographic Scope

  • Southwestern Electric Cooperative service territory (11 counties along I-70 corridor between St. Louis, MO and Effingham, IL)
