PMMI On the Rise Awards

The PMMI On the Rise Awards recognizes young professionals in packaging and processing who display exemplary leadership qualities at PMMI member companies. Winners receive recognition, travel support to the Annual Meeting, and national media exposure.

Geographic Scope: PMMI member companies (primarily North America)

Award Details:

• Free registration to PMMI Annual Meeting
• Complimentary airfare and hotel stay
• Feature interview in OEM Magazine
• Recognition at Chairperson's Dinner during Annual Meeting
• Networking opportunities with industry peers

Eligibility Requirements

Nominee Qualifications:

• Must be 35 years old or younger
• Employed by a PMMI member company for at least one year
• Display exemplary leadership qualities

Nomination Criteria

Nominations must include:

1. Three examples of business impact - Describe how nominee impacted business including:
   • Improved processes
   • Increased sales
   • Creation of new programs
   • Achievements can span any department (sales, marketing, engineering, operations, etc.)
2. Professional development example - Document how nominee is furthering career through:
   • Extra training
   • Pursuing further education
   • Industry certifications
   • Leadership development programs

• Nomination Period: Opens Spring 2026
• Winner Announcement: Typically November at PMMI Annual Meeting
• Recognition Event: Chairperson's Dinner at Annual Meeting

How to Apply (Nomination Process)

1. Wait for nomination period to open in Spring 2026
2. Complete the nomination form including:
   • Nominee information
   • Nominator information
   • Company information

3. Submit before the deadline (typically summer)
4. Receive notification of award winners in November at Annual Meeting

Nominee Details

• Full name
• Current position/title
• Age (must be 35 or younger)
• PMMI member company name
• Employment start date (minimum 1 year with company)

Nomination Content (Required)

1. Three Examples of Business Impact
   • List three distinct accomplishments showing how nominee improved the business
   • Examples:
   • Improved processes (describe efficiency gains, cost savings, quality improvements)
   • Increased sales (document revenue growth, new markets, customer wins)
   • Creation of new programs (detail scope, impact, outcomes)
   • Can include any department: sales, marketing, engineering, operations, etc.
2. Professional Development Example
   • Describe how nominee is furthering their career
   • Include specific training, certifications, or education pursued
   • Examples:
   • Formal education (degrees, certificates)
   • Professional training programs
   • Industry certifications
   • PMMI program participation
   • Leadership development initiatives
