Pew Center for Arts & Heritage: Capacity Building Grants- Technical Assistance grants

The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage offers Capacity Building Grants, specifically Technical Assistance grants of up to $7,500. These grants support Philadelphia region's cultural organizations that are invited to apply in late spring/early summer 2025. The funding aims to aid organizations in managing the Center’s application process, enhancing their ability to showcase artistic vitality and foster a thriving cultural ecology.

Our Grantmaking
Art and access to it are essential to the fabric of civic life. As a multidisciplinary grantmaker dedicated to fostering a vibrant and diverse cultural ecology in the Philadelphia region, the Center annually awards grants to organizations and artists, whose imaginative programs, events, and artistic work inspire audiences and make Philadelphia a thriving hub for culture.
The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage (the Center) makes panel-adjudicated grants in support of the Philadelphia region’s cultural organizations and artists.
The projects we support grow directly out of mission and demonstrate excellence, care, and conceptual rigor. Funded projects reflect our grantees’ commitment to multiple perspectives, inclusive practices, and meaningful engagement with multicultural audiences.
The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage offers two types of capacity building grants to assist its applicants.
To assist 2026 applicants with managing and completing the Center’s application process once they have been invited to apply. Grants of $500 to $1,500 are available beginning June 1, after organizations have been invited to submit a full application. Priority is given to applicants with operating budgets under $500k, those with no dedicated development staff, and to first-time applicants.
