Peter G. Boone Endowment Fund

The Peter G. Boone Endowment Fund was created in 2021 by the Porter and Boone families with an initial gift of $250,000 to advance scientific and medical research on choroideremia (CHM). Peter Boone is not only a dedicated advocate for those living with CHM, but also a member of the CRF community himself. He has contributed to the Foundation's fundraising efforts, served on the CRF Research Committee, and brings a deeply personal commitment to this cause. The endowment strengthens CRF's ability to support critical research in CHM and related inherited retinal diseases.

Eligibility:

• Exclusively for early-career investigators: Scientists and clinician-researchers who are working toward, or have recently begun, independent positions as faculty members, investigators, or team leaders

Funding Goal: The Porter and Boone families have set a goal to grow the endowment to $1 million.
