The Rheumatology Research Foundation The mission of the Rheumatology Research Foundation is to advance research and training to improve the health of patients living with rheumatic disease. Funding Research We award grants to scientists conducting innovative research that will lead to a future with more options for patients with rheumatic disease to live longer, healthier lives. Advancing Treatment Our programs fund training and mentorship opportunities for medical students and fellows to assist in the recruitment and education of future rheumatologists. We are committed to expanding the workforce in order to provide patients with better access to specially trained rheumatology professionals. ACR Convergence Awards Cultivating an interest in rheumatology is essential to ensuring students, residents and fellows pursue careers in the field and help fill shortages, both academically and geographically. The ACR Convergence Awards recognize scholarship among aspiring rheumatology professionals. Pediatric Rheumatology Fellow Research Award The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding scientific abstracts submitted by pediatric rheumatology fellows to ACR Convergence. ACR Convergence The meeting features the latest innovations, science, clinical and business best practices in rheumatology. You will get first-hand access to the latest discoveries and research transforming rheumatic disease care, as well as clinical applications that will improve the health of patients. It is an opportunity to experience personalized learning that allows you to expand your knowledge to new areas of interest and focus in rheumatology. Award Amount $1,500 award and $1,000 for travel related expenses (including airfare, hotel and meals) to attend ACR Convergence.Eligibility
