Payette Sho-Ping Chin Memorial Academic Scholarship

Overview: Annual scholarship honoring architect Sho-Ping Chin, FAIA, a principal at Payette and health-care practice leader who was instrumental in defining and elevating the national discourse for women in design. This scholarship supports women in architecture education.

Award Amount: $10,000 award toward tuition and fees

Geographic Scope: National (United States)

Eligibility:

  • Women in third and fourth-year undergraduate architecture students in a NAAB-accredited undergraduate degree program, OR

  • Women in any level of graduate study in a NAAB-accredited program

  • Must have at least two years of undergraduate or any level of graduate study
  • Program Details:

  • Annual award

  • Recipients are paired with a senior mentor from Payette for their scholarship year

  • First scholarship offered in 2017-2018

  • Applications open in fall, typically due mid-January
